Mary Kate O’Sullivan

Mary Kate O’Sullivan began her training in San Diego, CA under the direction of Ahita Ardalan and Sylvia Palmer-Zetler at Southern California Youth Ballet. Taking examinations in the Cecchetti technique, Mary Kate has passed all examinations with honors up to Advanced II. At her time with Southern California Youth Ballet, she performed various classical and contemporary ballets. At age 16 she competed in the Cecchetti International Ballet Competition and achieved one of four prestigious awards “Musicality and Dynamics in Movement”. Mary Kate currently studies at Dominican University of California/ LINES BFA program in San Francisco, CA as a junior. At her time with LINES/BFA she has had the opportunity to perform works by Gregory Dawson, Elisabeth Schifbauer, Maurya Kerr, and Julia Adams. She also currently studies graphic design as her minor and will be graduating in 2014.
